How accurate are your emission factors, really?
All 209 DEFRA 2026 factors in our library were individually checked cell-by-cell against the official government spreadsheet, not copied from a secondary source. Where we found unverifiable figures (some spend-based multipliers, a few freight categories), we removed them rather than guess — you'll see that flagged in our methodology page.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
You retain full ownership of everything you've entered. You have 30 days after cancellation to export your complete emission history as CSV before it's deleted from our systems — no lock-in, no holding your data hostage.
Do I need a sustainability background to use this?
No. The platform is built for whoever ends up owning carbon reporting at a small-to-mid business — often finance, operations, or a founder — not a dedicated sustainability team. Most customers enter their first month of data in under 30 minutes with no prior carbon accounting experience.
Is my data secure?
Data is stored on Supabase infrastructure hosted in the EU, transmitted over HTTPS/TLS, and access is restricted by row-level security policies. We don't sell your data, and we don't use your emission figures for benchmarking or research without your explicit consent.
Can my suppliers submit data without creating an account?
Yes — the supplier portal generates a unique link per request. Your suppliers fill in a short form and submit Scope 3 data directly, with no login, password, or account setup on their end.
What happens when DEFRA updates their emission factors?
We re-audit and update the factor library annually against the new DEFRA publication, the same cell-by-cell process used to build it. You'll see the version and last-updated date on our methodology page.
